Process
The design concepts of PCE series include the following modular components for films of width up to 3000mm, monolayer and coextruded up to 5 layers:

• Feeding systems with individual or centralized pneumatic loaders
  

• Gravimetric dosing groups up to 6 components per extruder
  

• Extruder with automatic screen changer and customized screen view according to material to convert
  

• Gear melt pump between extruder and die
  

• Co-extrusion feedblocks for online variation of layer ratio and layer distribution
  

• Die-heads of latest generation
  

• Chill rolls where extruded melt is transformed into a film and quickly cooled down
  

• Gauge measurement equipment with β- or X-rays for manual or automatic adjustment
  

• Film oscillation devices of our design
  

• Corona treatment units
  

• In-line slitting equipment
  

• Surface, centre/surface and gap automatic winding unit series PW for top quality finished reels with no defects and very strict reel geometry tolerances
  

• Edge trim recycling system with recovery of film trims by feed hopper or lateral extruder
  

• Automatic shaft and reel handling units
  

Raw Materials & Finished Product Applications
Polymers of LDPE, LLDPE, mLLDPE, HDPE, PP can be efficiently extruded on PCE series of cast film lines for the manufacture of co-extruded films with up to five layers and thickness from 15 to 100 µm. These films find an impressive variety of applications:
