Ultrasonic bonding

There is a way to bond nonwovens and films without adhesive. The ultrasonic technology works by running the system through a small, controllable gap between the weld horn and the anvil drum. The non-contact non-wear ultrasonic bonding technology, in combination with Promea's laminating calender, ensures consistent bonding at high speeds of 1000+ ft/min., and reduces wear to an absolute minimum.

The elimination of adhesive results in a cost saving:
